Finding venues & booking

Discover sports venues near you and reserve a court, slot, or session in a few taps.

The heart of Thril is finding somewhere to play and booking it in seconds. Here's how it works.

Discover venues near you

From the Explore tab you can browse sports venues around you, switching between two views with the List and Map toggle:

  • List: a scannable list of venues and what they offer.
  • Map: an interactive map to see what's close by.

Filter the results to find exactly what you want, for example by distance, sport type, or city, so you only see the places that match how you want to play.

Each venue has its own page with its location, opening hours, the sports and resources it offers, photos, and anything it sells (memberships, session cards, and more).

Make a reservation

Once you've found a venue:

  1. Open the venue page and choose the sport or resource you want.
  2. Pick an available time slot that works for you.
  3. Choose the duration if the venue offers more than one.
  4. Confirm and pay. Your booking is reserved the moment payment goes through.

Your confirmed bookings appear under My activities, where you can review the details any time.

Booking covers a wide range of activities, from racket sports like tennis, padel, squash, and badminton to golf simulators, gym time, and many other sports. The exact options depend on what each venue offers.

Other ways to book

Depending on the venue, you may also see two handy alternatives to a one-off booking.

Recurring reservations

A recurring reservation books the same slot on a repeating schedule, so your regular weekly game is always yours without rebooking each time. Whether you can cancel a recurring reservation yourself depends on the venue's terms; some venues handle changes to recurring bookings directly. If you need to adjust one, check the options in My activities or contact the venue.

Open reservations

An open reservation is a slot that goes ahead once enough players join. You claim a place, and the reservation is confirmed once it reaches the minimum number of players by the venue's cut-off. If the minimum isn't met, it won't go ahead.

The cost is shared among the players who join — each pays an equal share — and this is finalized at the cut-off, not up front. You'll see the specific terms, including how payment works, before you join.

Both recurring and open reservations show their own terms at checkout and in the booking details. See Booking & event terms.

Paying for your booking

All the payment methods available for a venue are shown to you at checkout, so you can simply pick the one you prefer. See Payments & benefits for the full list of supported options.

If a payment won't go through, see Payment troubleshooting.

What's next

Beyond booking a court, you can also join events, courses, tournaments, and leagues, or create a pickup to find new people to play with.
